We walked from my parents house in Porthmadog, Wales to the beach. As you can see the tide was way out. We only stayed long enough to admire the beautiful scenery and then ran home because it was really cold.

We had tea at Tu Hwnt I'r Bont(the building behind us) which is in Wales.

This is the ferry that took us from Wales to Ireland. The day we departed it was rainy and the trip was a little rough. The kids loved the ferry. It had restaurants, games, a gift shop, etc. with lots of people aboard.
Sterling noticed that the bathroom in our hostel in London was rather small. If you drop something in the shower you have to get out to pick it up. The sink was also in this shower. Very efficient use of space!

This is where the queen stays when she is in London. The guards at the gate mean the Queen is in London.
Sometimes after being awake for a whole day and trying to make it through another day you end up looking like this.

Preston by Big Ben.

All of us by Big Ben.

Preston watched movies the whole flight from Charlotte, NC to London. When we got to the airport Preston scouted out the first available bench and crashed.

Exchanging dollars to pounds

Mike, Dan, and Kathi are exchanging money in the Gatwick airport in London. The value of the dollar is very low. My brother, Chad, advised Mike to "close his eyes and open up his wallet."

Preston having the time of his life. On the trip across the pond he sat by a very proper English gentleman. I was grateful that the man was very patient with Preston. You never know if people are going to like your children sitting so close to them for so long.

This is the beginning of our adventurous vacation to the UK or should I say our "holiday" to the UK. Look how bright eyed and bushy tailed we look. At this point none of us really knew how wonderful our trip was going to be. I think we must have expired from the blog.

This is the latest picture of our house. Things are moving along. My mom said that it looks like we are building in the middle of the sand dunes. We are! All that is left after the fire in July is sand!
